Strategic Procurement Manager

Overview

As Strategic Procurement Manager you will lead procurement strategies across directorates, manage high-value procurements, and provide strategic commercial advice to senior leaders to maximise value for residents. You will drive supplier and contract management, develop procurement plans, and identify savings while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will represent procurement at boards and deputise for the Head of Procurement as needed, contributing to cross‑Council impact. This role offers shaping strategic procurement in a forward‑looking, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and category strategies
• Manage complex procurements end-to-end
• Provide commercial advice to senior stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with procurement legislation
