Standards and Resource Governance Lead

Overview

In this role you drive the governance of maintenance standards across Bioresources, shaping policy and documentation to ensure safety, compliance and operational resilience. You will partner with technical specialists, operations and suppliers to embed robust standards in plans and asset care. The position offers strategic influence to strengthen competency, authorisation and resource deployment. You will work in a cross-functional environment with a clear impact on critical infrastructure safety and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and govern maintenance standards, procedures and technical docs
• Identify gaps and create practical, risk-based standards
• Ensure standards meet regulatory, health and safety and process safety requirements
• Provide assurance against OEM standards, procedures, statutory requirements and good practice
• Create reports on compliance, competency and critical maintenance activity
• Collaborate with teams to address variances and implement corrective actions
• Maintain competency frameworks, skills matrices, training records and authorisation requirements
• Define technical and competency requirements for standby, emergency and out-of-hours maintenance
• Develop resilience plans for critical skills and safety-critical activities

Key requirements

• Experience in developing or governing maintenance standards, procedures or technical documentation
• Understanding of competency management, skills matrices, training records and authorisation processes
• Knowledge of health and safety, regulatory compliance and process safety expectations
• Ability to assess operational risk and make evidence-led decisions
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear, practical standards and guidance
