Overview
As an HR Business Partner in Stericycle’s UK & Ireland operations, you will provide strategic HR guidance to line managers, shaping people management and organisational design. You’ll drive performance, absence and capability frameworks, support change initiatives, and lead employee relation efforts. You’ll work cross-functionally to implement global and European HR projects, with a focus on shaping policies, reward programs, and workforce analytics. This role offers impact across a growing, regulated environment that values proactive HR partnerships.

Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop regional managers and staff
- Provide strategic HR management on absence, performance and capability issues
- Promote best practice in line with guidelines
- Oversee Employee Relations and develop policies and terms of employment
- Support organisation changes including design, position descriptions, and compensation recommendations
- Assist with compensation, rewards and recognition programs
- Coordinate Annual Employee Survey and translate results into action plans
- Contribute to development of new HR policies and local legislation changes
- Produce monthly HR and Management Team reports and support workforce reporting initiatives
- Input into recruitment strategies and provide direct recruitment support
- Assist with organisational, acquisitional and system changes within the business
Key requirements
- University/College undergraduate degree
- Specialised HR training and CIPD certification
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in HR
- Experience with North America-based international organisation (US, UK, Western Europe) preferred
- MS Office suite and HRIS (e.g., SAP HCM)
- Experience in a business partner HR model
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and employee relations
- TUPE transfers experience preferred
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and multi-tasking skills
- Project management and coaching/advisory experience
- Knowledge of HR theory, trends and progressive practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
