Quality Manager – Manufacturing

Overview

In this role you lead quality across manufacturing, aligning with IMS procedures and driving improvements. You will interface with clients and suppliers as the quality representative, handling inspections and escalation when needed. You’ll own NCRs, investigations and evidence trails, and foster a risk-based, safety-focused quality culture. You will ensure correct specifications are applied and provide inspection services when required, contributing to compliant, high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Team leadership and development of the Manufacturing Quality team
• Ensure IMS compliance and embedding of manufacturing controls and quality requirements
• Own manufacturing quality performance including NCRs, corrective actions, inspections, ITP/checklists, calibration, and right-first-time metrics
• Maintain traceability and robust evidence throughout the product lifecycle
• Promote a risk-based quality culture with appropriate escalation and safety focus
• Apply correct product specifications and provide inspection services when needed

Key requirements

• ISO 9001 Auditor / Lead Auditor certificate
• Extensive knowledge of managing quality operations in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to develop client and supplier relationships ensuring compliance with standards, specifications and instructions
• Ability to develop and maintain the Quality Management System to align with latest National and European standards
• Computer literate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in highly regulated environments (nuclear / transport / pharmaceuticals)
• Detailed knowledge of quality standards for ductwork and construction and associated ventilation equipment (preferred but not essential)
