Overview
In this role you help source and evaluate real estate investments within UBS’s global platforms, working with cross-functional teams to structure and underwrite opportunities. You will help shape investment strategies, manage due diligence, and contribute to the fund and portfolio oversight across EMEA. You’ll leverage AI-enabled underwriting and modern modelling to generate actionable investment recommendations, while collaborating with internal committees and external partners. This position offers exposure to high-quality deal flow and a prominent real estate platform within a leading global bank.

Responsibilities
- Assist origination and execution of fund investments, co-investments, JVs, recapitalisations, and secondary real estate investments across EMEA
- Contribute to market-facing thought leadership and build deal flow by market and asset class
- Stay current on market developments to inform sourcing and strategies
- Prepare investment recommendations and risk assessments
- Lead and coordinate due diligence (legal, tax, structuring) and prepare materials for committees and external parties
- Manage junior staff and training related to underwriting
- Develop underwriting templates for modelling and valuation across assets and funds
- Produce Investment Committee memorandums and support reporting to clients and investment committees
- Support asset and risk management, and fundraising efforts
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external managers, brokers, and LPs
Key requirements
- Real estate private markets experience
- Proficiency in a second European language (mandatory)
- Experience across funds, co-investments, JVs, secondaries and/or recapitalisations (not mandatory)
- Strong computer skills with AI models in underwriting, advanced MS Office, financial modelling; programming in R or Python is a plus
- Extensive professional networks with real estate groups, fund managers, LPs, advisors, brokers, valuers and sellers across Europe
- Strong underwriting capabilities
- Bachelor and/or Master degree; post-graduate qualification desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; organized, results-driven; able to work under pressure
