Head of Government Relations & Public Policy, UKI and Middle East

Overview

In this role you will guide Adobe’s public policy stance in the UK, Ireland, and the Middle East, shaping engagement with government and regulatory bodies. You’ll work with senior leaders to design and execute policy initiatives that support employees, customers, and business growth. The position blends strategic policy development with hands-on advocacy in a fast-paced technology context. You will be at the forefront of digital government and procurement policy, driving impact through cross-functional collaboration and external partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a government relations engagement strategy and plans for senior leaders
• Lead Adobe’s engagement with UK regulatory authorities on sensitive matters with Legal and senior colleagues
• Advocate for policy changes beneficial to employees, customers, and business
• Manage resources including external consultants and trade associations
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive impact autonomously
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations across activities
• Develop and advocate external policy positions to improve Adobe’s marketplace position
• Establish monitoring and reporting processes to flag and mitigate policy issues
• Deliver successful outcomes while maintaining high partner happiness
• Support UK local teams and assist Middle East groups as needed
• Deepen relationships with policy experts, internal teams, and government decision-makers
• Align with Global Public Policy on narratives while tailoring to the UK market
• Drive government relations involvement in public sector procurement in the UK and Middle East
• Promote procurement and digital government policies that enhance customer experience and service delivery

Key requirements

• 15+ years of proven government engagement experience
• Direct experience with UK government policies and procedures
• Experience handling sensitive, confidential government/ regulatory matters
• Understanding of political structures and external policy development bodies
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to simplify technical concepts for political outreach
• Self-starter who can work autonomously and build executive consensus
• Ability to influence through partnerships rather than formal authority
• Balance between fast results and long-term strategic thinking
• Genuine passion for government’s positive role in society
• Curiosity and adaptability to grow with Adobe
• Knowledge of Gulf policy dynamics (KSA/UAE) and Arabic language skills are a plus
• High proficiency in English and preferably another European language
