As a Staff Engineer, you own and steer high-impact technology projects within a global technology consultancy. You combine hands-on Java development with technical leadership, guiding design, delivery and client engagements on complex transformation programs. You modernise legacy systems, migrate to AWS and establish modern CI/CD and cloud deployment practices. You work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients while maintaining a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects and client engagements from design through delivery
• Develop scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices
• Modernise and migrate legacy systems to AWS
• Design and work with REST APIs and distributed systems
• Introduce and improve CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Provide technical guidance to clients and engineering teams

Key requirements

• Experience in financial services or Fintech environments
• Strong Java development skills including multi-threading and concurrency
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices
• Good knowledge of REST APIs
• Understanding of AWS
• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, data structures and design patterns
• Familiar with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
