CS&A Responsible Engineer

Overview

In this role you ensure CS&A engineering is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose across the project lifecycle. You provide technical leadership, governance, and assurance while retaining accountability for key engineering decisions. You will interface with project teams, regulators, and assurance bodies to promote safety, quality, and compliance. This is a chance to shape civil, structural and architectural outcomes in a high-hazard, regulated environment with broad cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accountability for CS&A engineering within your area
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and safety requirements
• Establish governance, assurance and verification processes
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and resolve complex technical issues
• Interface with project teams, regulators and assurance bodies
• Promote a strong safety, quality and compliance culture

Key requirements

• Familiar with engineering governance and gated processes
• SQEP aligned with SR0698 & ED21 standards
• Degree (or equivalent) in CS&A or related engineering discipline
• Chartered Engineer (or equivalent)
• Able to meet security clearance and site access requirements
• Experience in regulated, safety-critical environments
• Extensive CS&A experience suitable for a Responsible Engineer role
• Demonstrated technical accountability & decision-making experience
