MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will drive commercial excellence on a high-value data centre campus project, focusing on MEP packages and early procurement. You’ll join a seasoned commercial team and report to a Commercial Manager, with a shift from pre-construction to on-site delivery. You help manage budgets, procurement strategy, and change control to protect value and ensure programme integrity. This opportunity combines complex technical scope with a clear path to leadership within a Tier One contractor known for growth and core values.

Responsibilities

• Understand and uphold company values and procedures
• Support project financial targets and budget performance
• Contribute to commercial strategy including procurement, tendering, and subcontract documentation
• Assist with change management (client changes, scope variances, programme changes)
• Support tender presentations, client interviews, and negotiations
• Develop and deliver the PCSA agreement through delivery and final accounts
• Build relationships with stakeholders including suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and consultants
• Place purchase orders and sub-contracts per the Procurement Schedule
• Collaborate with site and commercial teams to meet or exceed targets

Key requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a construction commercial role with a main contractor
• Good communication skills
• Strong knowledge of MEP within a main contractor or subcontractor context
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
• Experience of JCT form of contract
