The Role

n

n

An established UK construction and fit-out contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a commercial refurbishment project in Kilmarnock.

n

The project forms part of an ongoing programme of high-street banking refurbishment and fit-out works, requiring a Site Manager with strong experience of delivering fast-paced commercial interiors and refurbishment projects to demanding programmes and quality standards.

The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for the site, coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades while ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
• Take full day-to-day responsibility for the management of the site.

n

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, specialist trades, suppliers and site activities.

n

• Deliver works in accordance with the agreed construction programme.

n

• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and client quality standards.

n

• Coordinate strip-out, refurbishment, internal finishes and fit-out packages.

n

• Manage site logistics, deliveries and access.

n

• Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout the project.

n

• Carry out inductions, toolbox talks and site briefings.

n

• Maintain accurate site records, diaries and progress reports.

n

• Monitor subcontractor performance and quality of workmanship.

n

• Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, consultants and wider project team.

n

• Identify potential programme issues and implement practical solutions.

n

• Manage snagging, defects and close-out through to successful handover.

n

• Maintain a professional site environment, particularly where works interface with operational or public-facing areas.

Candidate Requirements

n

n

n
• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.

n

• Strong background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment.

n

• Previous experience delivering retail, banking, office or other fast-track commercial interiors projects would be highly advantageous.

n

• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and specialist trades.

n

• Strong understanding of fit-out sequencing and finishing trades.

n

• Excellent organisational and programme-management skills.

n

• Strong client-facing and communication skills.

n

• Good knowledge of construction health & safety requirements.

n

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

n

• SMSTS.

n

• CSCS.

n

• First Aid certification.

n

n
