Job Description
A Cloud Security Specialist is a key consulting role, working with PA’s clients across the private and public sectors to define security architectures and solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to match their business requirements and risks. It allows you to combine expertise in information and cloud security, GCP solution architecture, and business advice to create secure solutions in some of the most challenging environments, providing clients with innovative security approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Work to agile best practices and cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders, using your technical skills to problem solve with clients and internal projects.
- Participate in in-person whiteboarding sessions to problem solve as a team, while also engaging in asynchronous communication on Teams.
- Manage hybrid work arrangements, with a minimum of two days per week in the office or on client sites (up to five days on some assignments).
- Create end-to-end security architecture and Google Cloud security solutions, including conceptual and logical architectures that align with business needs.
- Deliver solutions in identity management (Cloud IAM), network and infrastructure protection, cloud native security, security monitoring, network segregation, and more to defend against advanced threats.
- Review existing client security measures, recommend and implement enhancements, and interpret complex business and technical issues to produce viable solutions.
- Design secure system architectures using Google best practice patterns and principles, balancing user needs with business and security risks.
- Apply innovative security architecture solutions and justify design decisions through clear communication.
Qualifications
- You thrive in problem solving and analytical thinking.
- You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- You have a solid foundation in information security and relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Security Operations Engineer, CISSP, CISM, IISP/CCP, TOGAF, SABSA).
- You have a proven history of delivering security solutions for large-scale infrastructure or integration projects.
- You can propose, design, and implement secure architectures on Google Cloud Platform.
Please be aware that some of our UK roles require a UK security clearance and background checks. Candidates must meet residency requirements (at least five years continuously in the UK) to qualify for security clearance.
