Temporary Administrator

We are looking for a Temporary Administrator to join AGM Ltd in Colchester, providing essential administrative and coordination support to help ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the business. This is a fast-paced, detail-focused role requiring strong organisation, communication and time management skills.

• Answer and manage incoming telephone calls professionally.
• Handle customer enquiries in a polite and professional manner.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and internal departments.
• Support colleagues and assist across the team when required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across business systems.
• Prepare and organise relevant documentation.
• Assist with the coordination of day-to-day administrative activities.
• Monitor and follow up outstanding actions and information.
• Ensure tasks and projects are tracked through to completion.
• Complete relevant documentation, reports and records accurately and on time.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of operations.

Knowledge and skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Previous administrative experience, ideally within a service or engineering-based environment.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Customer-focused with a friendly, proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Confident liaising with engineers, customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to supporting the wider team.
