Slitter Operator – Food Packaging Manufacturing

• Operate high-speed slitting machinery for flexible packaging conversion
• Carry out basic machine maintenance, including lubrication and clean-downs
• Challenge low run hours, speeds, waste levels and machine setups
• Perform quality inspections and administration according to customer specifications and standards
• Liaise with the Shift Manager to report and expedite engineering breakdown repairs
• Ensure machines have sufficient material to maximise uptime
• Keep paperwork up to date
• Ensure labelling and wrapping are correct and current
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping
• Enforce and adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Proactive, positive and enthusiastic individual with a can-do attitude

• Machine operating desirable; full training will be provided
• Willingness to work a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts, averaging 14 shifts per month
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures
• Ability to maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards
