who are looking for a dedicated
SEND Teaching Assistant
to provide
1:1 support to a child with additional needs .This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is able to build a strong, trusting relationship with a child and adapt their approach to ensure they feel supported, included and confident within the school environment.The Role
The successful candidate will provide consistent
1:1 support throughout the school day , both inside and outside of the classroom.Working closely under the guidance of the
Class Teacher and SENDCo , you will play an important role in understanding and responding to the child’s individual needs, helping them to engage with learning and achieve their full academic potential.You will:Provide dedicated
1:1 support
to a child with SENDSupport the child both
in and out of the classroomAdapt learning activities and your approach to suit the child’s individual needsEncourage the child to engage positively with their learningSupport the child’s academic, social and emotional developmentHelp the child develop confidence, independence and positive relationshipsFollow the child’s
EHCP and individual care/support planWork closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCo to ensure consistent supportProvide encouragement and reassurance when challenges arisePromote an inclusive and positive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:Experienced working with children with
SEND or additional needsPatient, nurturing and naturally supportiveAble to build positive and trusting relationships with childrenAdaptable and flexible
in their approach to learningInclusive and understanding of individual differencesConfident supporting children both independently and within the classroomAble to follow individual support plans and guidanceA strong communicator who works well alongside teachers and SEND professionalsPassionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potentialPrevious experience providing
1:1 SEND support
