Planning Project Lead – Manufacturing

Overview

In this role you will lead manufacturing planning projects for Abbott Diabetes Care, driving improvements in planning processes and systems to meet customer demand in a dynamic, regulated environment. You will collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Commercial teams from concept to implementation, and contribute to New Product Introduction activities. You will use data to identify opportunities, solve problems and influence decisions, shaping how we plan for growth and product changes. Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing planning projects from concept through implementation
• Drive improvements in planning processes, systems, and ways of working
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Commercial
• Support and manage planning activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI) and product changes
• Analyze data to identify root causes, opportunities, and practical solutions
• Balance detailed analysis with focus on overall project objectives
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and effective communication throughout projects
• Operate within a regulated manufacturing environment

Key requirements

• Experience leading projects or major workstreams in manufacturing or planning
• Experience supporting planning activities for NPI, product changes, or business transformations
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive solutions
• Ability to work in detail while maintaining view of project goals
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
• A degree qualification or equivalent experience
• Project Management qualification would be advantageous but not essential
