Overview

As a Senior Client Relationship Manager in Imperial Lifelong Learning, you will foster trusted partnerships with leading organisations to deliver bespoke learning programmes. You will work closely with academics and colleagues across Lifelong Learning to create impactful learning experiences addressing real-world business challenges. You will manage client portfolios, pursue expansion opportunities, and lead complex executive education projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers a chance to shape partnerships, drive commercial success, and contribute to Imperial’s mission to advance knowledge and human development.

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture client relationships as a trusted partner and deliver an outstanding client experience.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, identifying opportunities for expansion and new collaborations.
  • Contribute to proposals, bids, and client presentations to progress commercial opportunities.
  • Lead planning and coordination of complex executive and professional education programmes, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and high quality.
  • Oversee multiple projects, managing risks, schedules, and stakeholder engagement across diverse programmes.
  • Collaborate with faculty, industry experts and internal teams to design innovative learning solutions.
  • Act as primary client contact throughout the programme lifecycle, maintaining effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Develop programme budgets and costings, negotiate fees, and support profitability.
  • Monitor client activity, pipeline performance and programme data to inform decisions.
  • Champion excellent customer service and alignment with client objectives and quality standards.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless programme experiences and grow Imperial’s Lifelong Learning portfolio.

Key requirements

  • Experience in account management, client relationship management and/or project management with external clients.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong commercial awareness including budgets, contracts or commercial opportunities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines in a complex environment.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills.
