Product Designer, Roundtripping (London, United Kingdom)

Overview

As a technically-minded product designer at Figma, you shape how design, code, and AI-powered workflows come together. You’ll craft workflows that bring design and production code closer, and extend our agentic capabilities into developer tools. You collaborate with engineers, PMs, and researchers to turn ambiguity into clear, craft-rich solutions. This role combines strategy, storytelling, and hands-on design to impact Figma’s core product and developer-focused experiences.

Responsibilities

• Shape and prototype new workflows that connect design with production code and AI-powered experiences
• Contribute to product strategy and direction
• Create clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with PM, engineering, UX writing, data science, and research
• Design and iterate flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals; provide constructive feedback
• Design and ship high-quality features in Figma’s core product surfaces
• Contribute to design culture through critiques, mentoring, and sharing best practices

Key requirements

• 3+ years of UX/UI design for software products of similar scale and complexity
• Strong visual craft across typography, layout, and interaction design
• Proven ability to drive end-to-end design processes from discovery to launch
• Ability to frame decisions with structured thinking and user-centered research
• Experience designing technically complex products, ideally developer tools or extensible platforms, with understanding of APIs and systems; AI-powered or nondeterministic interactions a plus
