Contract Senior Delivery Manager – Public Sector

Overview

In this Delivery Manager role at Version 1, you will drive Agile or Hybrid projects from inception to delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes. You will build and mature client relationships, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage risks to deliver high-quality solutions. You’ll lead Agile ceremonies, coach teams on practices, and report progress to stakeholders, including C-level audiences. Responsibilities

• Actively establishing, building and maturing relationships with new customers
• Delivering effectivity and creating new opportunities
• Drive Agile or Hybrid projects forward on time, to budget and best quality
• Stakeholder engagement and management
• Weekly overview and delivery assurance meeting
• Standard Delivery Manager duties including project scope, detailed project work-plan, RAID analysis, governance, documentation and risk management

Key requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in technical project delivery
• Successfully led difficult technical projects end-to-end using Agile methodologies
• Proven track record facilitating Agile ceremonies for medium-sized teams
• Experience coaching teams on Agile practices and driving continuous improvement
• Specific knowledge in technology domain and/or industry vertical
• Agile & Project Management Expertise
• Expert facilitation of all Agile ceremonies with ability to adapt to team needs
• Strong experience with Agile metrics analysis and process optimization
• Proven ability to scale Agile practices across multiple workstreams
• Experience managing dependencies and coordinating cross-team sprints
• Skilled at backlog management, user story refinement, and acceptance criteria definition
• Track record of improving team velocity and delivery predictability
• Experience with Agile tools and reporting (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
