Associate / Senior Associate – Banking – Bristol

Overview

In this role you support a highly regarded Banking & Finance practice within a Top 100 UK law firm, focusing on complex banking transactions and advisory work. You will work with lenders and borrowers across sectors, contributing to high-value financings and refinancings while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role combines technical drafting, client relationship growth, and mentorship in a collaborative, ambitious culture. Responsibilities

• Lead a range of banking and finance transactions (real estate, acquisition, corporate, development, project finance)
• Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, and related finance docs
• Advise lenders and borrowers on new facilities, refinancings, and restructurings
• Manage transactions and collaborate with Corporate, Real Estate and Private Wealth teams
• Develop strong client relationships and support business development activities
• Support and mentor junior team members

Key requirements

• 3-6 years’ PQE within Banking & Finance
• Experience managing banking and finance transactions and client relationships
• Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Motivated, proactive and keen to contribute to the growth of a successful practice
