Project Control Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead and shape project controls for Bilfinger during early contractor involvement and live projects. You will collaborate across proposal, design, PM, construction, and commercial teams to craft credible execution plans and robust controls. You drive schedule, cost control, risk, and reporting to support predictable delivery and continuous improvement. This position offers a focal point for governance and performance management within a multinational engineering and maintenance business.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-contract activities with cross-functional teams to shape execution strategies and credible estimates.
• Develop and maintain the Project Controls Plan, schedules, baselines and governance structures for projects.
• Lead planning and scheduling activities, including baseline management, lookahead planning, and milestone tracking.
• Manage progress measurement, earned value, quantities, productivity, and performance reporting across engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontracted scopes.
• Coordinate cost control, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting with commercial and project management teams.
• Support change control and incorporate approved changes into forecasts and records.
• Facilitate risk and opportunity management, including schedule risk input and contingency analysis.
• Produce and coordinate weekly and monthly project controls reporting and management information.
• Mentor and coordinate planners, cost engineers, and reporting resources; provide early warnings and corrective actions as needed.
