Integration Architect

Overview

In this role you will lead the design and governance of system-to-system integrations across a complex digital environment. You will implement API-led and event-driven architectures, leveraging Boomi and AWS to enable scalable, secure connectivity. You will shape integration standards, patterns, and API strategies while guiding cross-functional delivery teams. This is a high-impact position within a large-scale public sector programme that focuses on secure, resilient integrations and continuous architectural oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of system-to-system integrations across multiple platforms
• Define and implement API-led and event-driven integration architectures
• Design solutions using Boomi and AWS, ensuring scalable and secure connectivity
• Establish and maintain integration standards, patterns and governance
• Own and develop API strategies, including third-party integrations
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, and resilience requirements
• Provide architectural oversight and guidance to delivery teams
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, security teams, and suppliers

Key requirements

• Proven experience as an Integration Architect (or similar)
• Strong Boomi (Dell Boomi) experience in enterprise environments
• Solid understanding of AWS for integration and API delivery
• Experience designing API strategies and integration patterns
• Knowledge of modern integration approaches: API-led architecture, Event-driven systems, Microservices / middleware
• Experience working in large, complex environments (public sector preferred)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skill
