Overview

Join Arup’s 10–12-month Industrial Placement in Civil Engineering focused on water. You will contribute to real-life projects under experienced engineers, addressing flood risk and water/wastewater solutions. You’ll gain hands-on design and data-analysis experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Excel, and help draft technical specifications. Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and models using AutoCAD or Civil 3D
• Apply Excel for measurements, calculations and costing
• Prepare specifications for surveys or construction of solutions
• Review survey deliverables against specifications
• Support design to deliver solutions
• Draft technical reports
• Conduct site visits for data collection and visual surveys

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering; Structural Engineering
• Skills in Microsoft Office and AutoDesk Civil 3D
