Healthcare Specialist Service Engineer

Overview

As a Healthcare Specialist Service Engineer, you service renal lab equipment and support life-sustaining dialysis systems. You will perform on-site maintenance, upgrades, and commissioning, while delivering expert technical and commercial support to clients. You’ll build strong client relationships to improve system reliability and productivity, and handle troubleshooting with a proactive, problem-solving approach. This role offers dedicated progression, a flexible rota, and the chance to impact patient care and environmental outcomes. Responsibilities

• On-site maintenance including preventative and corrective work, commissioning, upgrades, and refurbishments
• Provide after-sales technical and commercial support and gather feedback for product development
• Foster strong client relationships and advise on solutions to improve system reliability and productivity
• Troubleshoot and fault-find to keep systems running smoothly
• Participate in an on-call rota to deliver timely client support
• Service Renal lab equipment as part of healthcare offerings

Key requirements

• Experience as a Service Engineer in the Healthcare and Scientific market
• Knowledge of water treatment or wastewater plants is desirable
• NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar (or working towards) is ideal but not essential
• Strong client-facing communication and ability to handle challenging conversations
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects
• Punctual, presentable, and focused on customer satisfaction
• Full UK driving licence
