Chief Executive Officer

Overview

In this Chief Executive role, you will steer HACT through its next five-year strategy, strengthening financial resilience and turning innovation and evidence into sustained impact and income. You will shape the organisation’s proposition, lead transformative change, and act as a credible ambassador to trustees and partners. The role sits at the crossroads of social purpose, research, technology and sector-wide collaboration, driving practical housing solutions. You will work with cross‑sector stakeholders to secure sustainable funding and influence national housing agendas.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen financial resilience and develop sustainable income streams
• Drive organisational change and culture transformation
• Engage with trustees, partners and national stakeholders
• Protect and enhance HACT’s reputation as an influential and innovative leader
• Translate evidence, innovation and collaboration into practical housing solutions
• Oversee propositions, products, programmes and partnerships for impact
• Represent the organisation as a visible and credible ambassador

Key requirements

• Experience of organizational transformation and strategic leadership
• Proven track record in financial sustainability and income development
• Strong partnership development and stakeholder engagement
• Background in housing, charity, social enterprise, membership organisations or related fields
