Overview

In this role you will lead and expand relationships with major North American banks from our London base, balancing risk and growth. You will collaborate with the Head of North America Financial Services and cross-functional teams to deliver client value and revenue opportunities. You will shape portfolio strategies, originate new business, and strengthen Lloyds Banking Group’s presence in the sector. Expect governance, risk oversight, and a focus on developing a high-performing, inclusive team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with leading US/Canadian banks
  • Develop and execute portfolio strategies to maximize client value
  • Originates new business opportunities and revenue growth
  • Build senior stakeholder relationships across product, delivery and leadership teams
  • Collaborate with product specialists to tailor solutions meeting client needs
  • Proactive client engagement to raise group profile in financial institutions
  • Oversee credit, operational and transactional risks within portfolio and support credit approvals
  • Contribute to governance standards and supervise development of colleagues to foster a high-performing, inclusive team

Key requirements

  • 5+ years’ direct experience marketing banks and/or financial products to a defined client base
  • Proven experience managing and growing senior relationships within US and Canadian banks or wider financial institutions
  • Strong business development and origination experience with ability to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable revenue growth
  • Knowledge of banking and treasury products (transaction banking, liquidity, FX, repo, structured solutions, debt capital markets)
  • Experience assessing and managing credit, operational and transactional risks including credit approval submissions
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills across product, delivery and senior leadership teams
