Overview
As the client-facing point of contact in trade and working capital, you guide clients through complex trade-finance processes and post-sale activity. You collaborate with product, sales, and operations to deliver a seamless experience and faster issue resolution. You help protect the client experience while enabling sustainable growth through proactive service and insights. You will apply trade knowledge to support standby letters of credit, guarantees, and other trade products, shaping the client journey with cross-functional partners. This role offers meaningful impact by elevating service quality and efficiency in a global banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage post-sale transaction activity through completion with accurate handling and timely turnaround
- Resolve complex client inquiries related to trade finance transactions and documentation requirements
- Partner with sales, product, and operational teams to deliver a seamless client experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Track transaction status and provide clear, timely updates and reporting to clients and partners
- Investigate and support resolution of refusals, disputes, and exceptions across complex cases
- Document all client interactions accurately in the case management system
- Deliver client training and support client engagement activities to strengthen relationships
- Analyze client activity patterns and share insights on trends, risks, and service opportunities
- Identify and implement process improvements aligned with trade priorities
Key requirements
- Working knowledge of trade finance rules and practices (including UCP 600, ISP 98, and URDG)
- Experience supporting core trade products (standby letters of credit, guarantees, commercial letters of credit, and collections)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client requests and transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong client service orientation with evidence of building and maintaining effective client relationships
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues through structured investigation and sound judgment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain requirements to clients and partners
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with consistent, accurate follow-through
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and navigate competing priorities
- Comfort using case management and workflow tools to track and document work accurately
