Senior Business Analyst – Assistant Vice President

Overview

In this role you guide the translation of business needs into actionable product and system solutions within Citi’s Markets Technology. You will help shape a technology product vision, roadmaps, and delivery across the SDLC, collaborating with business users, engineers, QA and support teams. You’ll work to improve performance insights and enable data-driven planning while navigating a high-pace transformation in Margin and Collateral. Responsibilities

• Define project scope and objectives for complex initiatives and bridge business and IT teams
• Collaborate with users to diagnose issues and propose process and system improvements
• Support change processes from requirements through implementation and provide analysis input
• Determine system functional specifications and provide user/operational support
• Identify risks and assess business impact of technology deployments
• Coach junior analysts and work collaboratively to meet objectives
• Operate with limited supervision and exercise independent judgement
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and ensure alignment with risk controls and compliance
• Align product vision with SDLC and create a roadmap; manage backlog and prioritize tasks
• Engage with cross-functional teams and participate in agile ceremonies and sprints

Key requirements

• Experience as product owner or senior business analyst in product-driven environments
• Proven track record delivering multi-year strategic change programs in financial product contexts
• Strong knowledge of agile practices and backlog prioritization
• Domain knowledge in Margin & collateral, Futures, Repo, OTC Derivatives or payments flows (plus)
• Excellent communicator with senior stakeholders; strong risk management mindset
• Proficiency in MS Office; data analysis using Excel; experience with SDLC and agile software delivery
• Ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and establish trust across stakeholders
• Self-driven leader capable of advisory roles to peers and teams
