FX Applications Support – Assistant Vice President

Overview

In this role you support Citi’s mission-critical FX trading system used by traders and operations. You will work with global teams to ensure 24×6.5 coverage, contribute to release cycles and disaster recovery tests, and partner with technology and vendors to resolve issues. You’ll build technical documentation and drive stability and efficiency through cross-team collaboration. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on service quality and incident resolution in a high-pressure trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support for mission-critical trading system used by trading desks and operations
• Support FX trade life cycle flows including pricing, connectivity, trade executions, settlements, back office and regulatory reporting
• Perform start-of-day checks and continuous monitoring with end-of-day handover
• Raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams within SLAs
• Build and maintain technical support documentation
• Act as liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups and vendors
• Participate in application releases from development to production deployment
• Perform post-release checkouts and infrastructure updates
• Own and contribute to Support Project items focused on Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness
• Coordinate with Development to prioritize bug fixes and tooling requirements
• Ensure production issues are logged and updated per policies
• Share information with other support and technology teams

Key requirements

• Oracle SQL/Sybase – able to build ad hoc queries
• UNIX (Solaris/Linux) – navigate systems and write shell scripts
• Python scripting
• Hands-on application support in a global market related business
• Exposure to Cloud technologies and DevOps (CI/CD) and AI adoption
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under stress and time constraints
• Experience with monitoring/observability and incident management tools (bonus)
