Private Client Solicitor – Birmingham

Overview

In this role you join a well-established national private client team in Birmingham to handle high-value matters and manage your own caseload. You will work closely with the Head of Department to provide clear, empathetic advice across wills, estate planning, trusts, and probate. The position offers exposure to both straightforward and complex cases, with opportunities to mentor junior lawyers. You contribute to a client-centred practice that values diversity and inclusion and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Managing new enquiries
• Drafting Wills
• Dealing with Inheritance tax and estate planning
• Setting up Trusts
• Dealing with Probate and estate administration
• Drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney

Key requirements

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor
• Able to manage a caseload, assist with complex cases and supervise juniors
• Providing clear and empathetic advice to clients during sensitive times
• Excellent people skills and able to build a good rapport with vulnerable clients and third parties
• Experience in contentious Probate matters an advantage but not essential
