Lead RF Engineer

Overview

As Lead RF Engineer, you will steer an RF engineering team while staying close to core technology to guide delivery. You’ll balance people leadership with technical direction, participating in design reviews and critical decisions. You’ll coordinate across RF/mmWave development, mechanical, PCB, manufacturing and test teams to keep projects on track. This role offers ownership of an in-house RF/mmWave hardware program and the chance to shape engineering processes and delivery culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of RF engineers
• Allocate work and support project delivery
• Provide technical guidance across RF/mmWave development
• Lead design reviews and manage technical risk
• Support engineers with problem solving and design decisions
• Collaborate across RF, mechanical, PCB, manufacturing and test teams
• Improve engineering processes and best practices
• Ensure projects meet technical, cost and schedule requirements

Key requirements

• Experienced RF or microwave engineer with formal or informal leadership experience
• Ability to manage people, priorities and technical delivery
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers
• Sufficient technical depth to challenge designs and support decisions
• Strong communication across engineering and project teams
• Experience with RF design tools is useful (ADS, Microwave Office, CST, EMPro)
