Overview

In this role you will help grow a top-tier corporate practice in Exeter, handling high-calibre M&A, VC and cross-border deals. You will lead on complex transactions, deepen client relationships, and mentor junior lawyers within a collaborative team. You’ll contribute to strategic development and sector expertise in private equity, venture capital, and corporate finance. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a wide range of corporate matters including M&A, venture capital, cross-border transactions, private equity deals, joint ventures and restructurings
• Manage and deepen client relationships to drive growth
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers to build team capability
• Contribute to strategic development of the corporate practice and raise the firm’s profile
• Develop sector expertise across private equity, venture capital and corporate finance
• Support business development and profile-raising initiatives

Key requirements

• 5-7 years’ PQE in a high performing corporate team
• Strong technical ability and commercial judgment
• Confidence managing complex transactions with autonomy
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Genuine interest in corporate landscape including M&A, private equity and venture capital
• Ability to build long lasting client relationships
