KCR Solutions are delighted to be assisting a firm of Accountants based in Middlesbrough in their search for a Qualified AAT Accounts/Audit Assistant. The successful candidate will work with clients from a variety of sectors including education, retail, manufacturing, and charities. The role requires attendance at clients’ sites across the region.The key duties of the role are:Assist with audit assignments from initial planning through to final completion.Work with a broad portfolio of businesses across a range of sectors.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the audit process.Assist in the preparation of management accounts and VAT returnsAssist in the preparation of corporation tax computationsAttend client meetings to help finalise accounts and corporation tax computationsAct as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queriesCoach more junior members of the teamThe ideal candidate will:Be AAT L4 qualified or working towards itHave recent relevant experience of owner-managed small to medium business accounts preparation including statutory financial statementsBe able to demonstrate a general practice background, with exposure to audit, accounts and taxBe driven to deliver excellent client serviceHave a track record in delivering to tight client deadlinesKnowledge of accounting software packages such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc. would be advantageousExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalGood organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
