Technical Project Engineer

Location: Reading – Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical activities across software, systems and platform engineering teams.
• Act as the primary technical interface between engineering functions and delivery management.
• Monitor project execution, technical risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
• Support the development and maintenance of project plans, technical roadmaps and delivery schedules.
• Provide technical leadership and first-line technical decision making.
• Manage technical interfaces with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate technical reviews, governance activities and milestone assessments.
• Support project reporting, forecasting and performance monitoring activities.
• Ensure engineering activities adhere to agreed processes, standards and governance requirements.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects within Aerospace, Defence, MOD or Defence Digital environments.
• Strong background within software engineering, systems development or digital engineering environments.
• Experience working within Software Factory, software delivery or engineering delivery functions.
• Solid understanding of technical governance, project controls, risk management and issue resolution.
• Proven stakeholder management skills, working across customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
