This is a highly visible leadership role where you’ll spend time on the factory floor, working closely with managers and team leaders to ensure customer demand is delivered while continuously improving operational performance.Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the day-to-day manufacturing operation, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious manufacturing professional who enjoys leading people, driving change and delivering measurable operational improvements within a growing and successful business.Six Sigma qualification or equivalent continuous improvement experience would be advantageous.Key responsibilities include:Leading and developing a manufacturing team of approximately 100 employees.Driving productivity, throughput and labour utilisation improvements.Reducing overtime dependency through effective workforce planning.Identifying and eliminating waste, scrap and recurring operational issues.Championing continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen.Improving operational performance, quality standards and OTIF delivery.Developing a strong frontline leadership team through coaching and performance management.Ensuring high standards of housekeeping, organisation and health & safety across the manufacturing operation.Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimise overall business performance.Skills/ExperienceTo be successful, you’ll be a proven manufacturing leader with experience operating within a high-variety, made-to-order environment.You will ideally have:A minimum of five years’ senior manufacturing management experience.Experience leading large production teams through managers, supervisors or team leaders.A demonstrable track record of improving productivity, efficiency and operational performance.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and hold teams accountable.Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.The resilience and adaptability required to succeed in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.Six Sigma qualification or equivalent continuous improvement experience would be advantageous.BenefitsCompany car25 days annual leave plus Bank HolidaysChristmas shutdownPension schemeLife assuranceHealthcare and wellbeing supportVirtual GP accessRetail and leisure discountsEnhanced family-friendly benefitsLong-service recognition and social eventsPlease note that we will only contact those candidates that we assess as suitable for the positions we have currently available based on their experience, training, and skills.
