Machine / Production Operative – 6 Month ContractLocation: Desford, LeicestershirePay Rate: £17.98 per hourContract: 6 Month rolling contractShift Pattern4 on / 4 off rotating days and nightsDays: 5:30am – 6:00pmNights: 5:30pm – 6:00amThe RoleWe’re looking for a experienced Machine / Production Operatives to join a brand-new manufacturing facility in Desford.Working within the cutting and palletising area, you’ll be responsible for operating automated production machinery, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor and adjust automated production machinery, including extruders and de-hackers.Ensure machines are running efficiently and safely throughout the shift.Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specification.Identify and report machine faults, defects or production issues.Complete production records and basic system updates.Work to production targets while maintaining high quality standards.Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all Health & Safety procedures.What We’re Looking ForPrevious experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment is essential.Experience working with automated production equipment is highly desirable.Good mechanical aptitude and confidence making basic machine adjustments.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.A proactive, reliable approach with the ability to work as part of a team.Flexibility to work a rotating 4 on / 4 off days and nights shift pattern.What’s on Offer£17.98 per hour.Work in a brand-new, modern manufacturing facility.Opportunity to operate the latest automated production equipment.Full site induction and ongoing training.Potential for longer-term opportunities following the initial 6-month contract.ApplyTo be considered for this role, click Apply or send your CV directly to .If you’d like to discuss the role before applying, contact Adil Shaikh onGanymede is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
