Commissioning Engineer

Overview

In this role you will deliver commissioning and validation services for HVAC and hot water systems across healthcare and pharma projects. You will work on site, balancing and testing systems to ensure performance and compliance, while building strong client relationships. The role supports the company’s focus on quality, safety and professional service, with travel across the North West and beyond. You will contribute to documented handovers and technical reporting, acting as a professional ambassador for the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct commissioning, testing and balancing of HVAC air and water systems
• Perform domestic water balancing, TMV verification and related setup
• Produce commissioning documentation, technical reports and handover records
• Support client handovers with clear explanations of system performance
• Travel to sites across the North West and occasionally further afield
• Ensure work complies with health and safety standards and company procedures
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to support project delivery
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge

Key requirements

• Proven HVAC commissioning and balancing experience
• Grade 3 CAS or equivalent
• Knowledge of air and water systems commissioning
• Experience with CIBSE and BSRIA standards
• Ability to produce accurate test sheets and technical reports
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• CSCS Skill Card
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
