Transport Planner

Overview

In this role you support a diverse portfolio of transport and infrastructure projects, providing planning advice to public and private clients. You’ll work with engineers and planners to prepare assessments and technical reports, delivering practical transport solutions. You’ll help build client relationships and contribute to project delivery within a collaborative team. Responsibilities

• Provide transport planning advice to clients in public and private sectors
• Assist in preparing transport assessments, statements and related technical reports
• Collaborate with engineers, planners and other professionals
• Develop practical and innovative transport solutions
• Support project delivery and client relationship development

Key requirements

• Experience in transport planning or relevant graduate background
• Relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or related discipline
• Solid understanding of transport planning principles and the UK planning process
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team
• Proactive attitude and willingness to develop professionally
• CIHT/CILT membership or progression towards professional membership advantageous
