Cost Management Lead (Project Controls)

Overview

In this role you will lead cost management and cost engineering on major infrastructure and transportation programmes, acting as a trusted advisor to clients. You’ll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver best-practice project controls and drive innovations in digital cost management. You will promote standardisation and continuous improvement across project controls and contribute to Arcadis’ global community. Responsibilities

• Lead cost management and cost engineering activities on major infrastructure and transportation projects
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering best-practice project controls solutions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across project management, programme controls, cost and commercial, digital intelligence, advisory, design and engineering
• Support development and implementation of innovative digital cost management solutions
• Promote continuous improvement, standardisation and best practice across project controls functions
• Contribute to the growth of Arcadis’ global Project & Programme Controls community

Key requirements

• Proven experience in cost management, cost engineering or project controls within infrastructure, transportation and/or buildings sectors
• Strong understanding of cost management processes, governance and control systems on complex projects
• Experience using industry cost management tools such as Deltek Cobra, Congruent, Oracle or similar platforms
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills
• Understanding of how cost management integrates with planning, risk, scope management and wider project controls disciplines
• Experience working across multiple stages of the project lifecycle
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Professional qualifications or memberships such as APM, RICS, ICEC, MSP or similar
