Construction Manager

Overview

As Construction Manager, you will lead construction phase activities on the Severn Trent AMP8 River Mease project, ensuring safety, quality, and performance. You will manage construction resources, coordinate with design, project managers and site teams, and oversee subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets. The role focuses on delivering pipeworks and treatment plant upgrades within a major framework, contributing to the client’s goals through safe, efficient execution. Responsibilities

• Functional management of construction teams during the project’s construction phase
• Coordinate constructability input during preliminary design phase
• Plan, coordinate and allocate construction staff for efficient resource use
• Develop construction resource pool with Project Managers, Site Team and HR
• Oversee construction resources (labour, plant, material) and subcontractors
• Identify discipline-specific issues and feed back to detail design for resolution
• Ensure activities adhere to schedules and man-hour budgets
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and contract quality plans
• Promote a safety-first culture and safe working environment

Key requirements

• Proven experience managing multiple teams
• Strong project management capabilities with a track record of delivering to client expectations
• Senior level managerial/technical experience
• CSCS card (Desirable)
• Professional body membership or engineering qualification (Desirable)
• Microsoft Office suite proficiency
