Digital & Technology Portfolio Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the technology strategy and governance for a portfolio of products and systems within Operations Delivery Intelligence. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to translate business priorities into a coherent technology agenda that improves performance and customer outcomes. You will manage multi-supplier delivery, risk, and investment trade-offs to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable technology. This is a visibility-rich role that shapes digital delivery across critical aviation operations, offering impact at scale and a path to own transformation.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with senior business and Digital stakeholders as a strategic technology adviser
• Translate product and business priorities into a technology agenda delivering value, resilience and customer outcomes
• Advise on feasibility, risks and trade-offs for product and supplier decisions
• Partner with Product Managers to build and maintain product roadmaps balancing business, tech, security and resilience
• Manage supplier relationships, SLAs and commercial obligations
• Lead technology cost-planning and development of technology business cases
• Lead technology investment prioritisation across change, maintenance, security and regulatory work
• Identify, assess and manage technology risks, issues and debt
• Lead or support technology workstreams within cross-business programmes and transformation
• Act as link between business, BA Digital and suppliers ensuring governance compliance
• Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning

Key requirements

• Strong technology delivery leadership across complex, multi-supplier environments
• Strong supplier and commercial management capability including service levels and third-party governance
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, modern architectures and enterprise delivery practices
• Understanding of technology risk, cyber security, resilience and compliance principles
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong prioritisation and decision-making
• Experience developing roadmaps and translating priorities into investment plans
• Ability to balance cost, value and risk for informed decisions
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with senior stakeholders and suppliers
• Experience managing technology budgets, forecasts and investment business cases
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint
