Geotechnical Engineer

Overview

As a Geotechnical Engineer at Arcadis, you will contribute to geotechnical design, ground investigations, and technical reporting on high-profile UK infrastructure projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compliant engineering outcomes and build strong relationships with clients and partners. Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Contribute to design and execution of ground investigations and geotechnical solutions
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes
• Build strong working relationships with clients, project partners, and colleagues
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Pursue professional development with guidance from experienced team members
• Assist in managing project components and ensure timely delivery

Key requirements

• Degree (MEng/MSc) in Civil Engineering with geotechnical bias, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology
• Some industry experience, ideally in geotechnical design or site investigations
• Familiarity with geotechnical software (VDISP/PDISP, WALLAP, REPUTE, Slope/W) and standard office tools
• Strong numerical and written communication skills for technical reports
• Enthusiasm for learning, problem-solving, and teamwork
• Willingness to travel and work on-site
• Full, valid UK driving licence
