Overview
In this role you will lead and deliver mechanical, electrical and public health projects within a multidisciplinary MEP team in Bristol. You’ll demonstrate a proven track record of winning and delivering commissions, guiding project teams, and providing design and technical advice with clear client direction. You will oversee feasibility studies, detailed designs, and resource planning, ensuring delivery aligns with project needs. This is a senior, client-facing position that shapes projects and contributes to WSP’s global engineering impact. Responsibilities
- Lead projects for the discipline and the overall project team
- Provide design and technical guidance with a multidisciplinary approach
- Supervise detailed design and the work of team members
- Lead feasibility studies for projects within the discipline
- Direct production of detailed and performance specifications subject to review
- Review design programmes and ensure sufficient resources for delivery
Key requirements
- Cross-sector experience with healthcare and/or defence sectors
- Understanding of UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline
- Working knowledge of mechanical design software and 3D design tools to allocate/direction of work
- Experience with Revit MEP or other 3D design software
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Detailed understanding of Part L regulations and how to demonstrate this through calculation
- Working understanding of TAS or IES for project work
- Ability to obtain UK Security Check (SC)
- Proven ability to operate with minimal supervision and in client-directed contexts
