Senior Construction Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead construction projects at BAE Systems sites, guiding them through the RIBA Plan of Work to deliver on time, within budget and to high quality standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to interpret client needs, support design, secure approvals and drive robust business cases. You’ll manage multi-disciplinary contractor coordination for buildings, refurbishments and upgrades while ensuring safety and compliance. Responsibilities

• Oversee projects through all phases per RIBA Plan of Work, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance
• Interpret customer requirements, support design development, implement plans and secure specification approvals
• Procure and coordinate multi-disciplinary consultant teams for new buildings, refurbishments and upgrades
• Coordinate onsite contractor activities and installations, ensuring safety, health and regulatory compliance (CDM, building control)

Key requirements

• Degree or HNC/D in Construction, Building Services, or related built environment disciplines (including surveying, project management, energy, sustainability)
• PM qualification (APM) or relevant experience
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary contractor activities with emphasis on health and safety and regulatory compliance
• Experience with construction, manufacturing plant and equipment installations and coordinating teams
• Ability to coach contractors to maintain CDM compliance and governance standards
