Construction Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end delivery on construction programmes, from pre-construction throughhandover, for established builders across the North. You will own project programmes, cost, quality and client relationships, coordinating multiple live projects in a complex stakeholder environment. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes on healthcare, education, commercial and other sectors, including refurbishments and live-site works. This is a discreet, client-facing opportunity with a clear path to impactful delivery on major programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from pre-construction to handover
• Own programme milestones, cost control and quality outcomes
• Manage client relationships and expectations across multiple projects
• Coordinate work with main contractors and subcontractors
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments on live/occupied sites
• Oversee refurbishment or fit-out works and framework deliveries
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with risk and change control
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and certifications (SMSTS/CSCS)
• Support tendering and pre-construction activities when required

Key requirements

• Proven end-to-end delivery experience from pre-construction through to handover
• Strong ownership of programme, cost, quality and client relationships
• SMSTS and CSCS
• Main contractor experience
• Experience across healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, residential/BTR, fit-out, refurbishment or public-sector construction
• Relevant construction qualification where applicable
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in refurbishment, cut-and-carve or work in occupied/live environments
• Public-sector and framework delivery
• Managing multiple concurrent projects
