Overview

In this internship at Arup in Bristol, you join an integrated team delivering resilient water and wastewater solutions. You’ll contribute to projects across catchment management, urban drainage, and pipeline systems, with opportunities to explore nature-based approaches and national-scale programmes. You’ll support data analysis, modelling, and technical delivery under guidance from specialists. Responsibilities

• Assess large datasets, gap analysis and scoping future investigation needs (historic drawings, surveys, catchment information, hydraulic models, reports)
• Support technical delivery, calculations, drawings and modelling
• Maintain records of meetings, workshops, technical reviews, decisions and outputs
• Communicate and collaborate internally and externally, present and review designs
• Assist in reviewing and challenging designs to incorporate diverse perspectives

Key requirements

• Studying towards a relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Geography & Geospatial Science
• Microsoft Office experience
• Programming experience (e.g., Python)
• GIS experience
