Associate Project Manager (Higher Education)

Overview

In this role, you will lead construction and capital projects for Higher Education clients, guiding them from inception through handover. You’ll work within cross-functional teams to deliver on time, safely and commercially, while managing budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations. You’ll also support bid activities and client development, helping Arcadis grow its HE portfolio. Responsibilities

• Lead construction and capital projects from inception to handover and close-out.
• Manage budgets, programmes, risks, governance, and contract compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
• Build and sustain strong client relationships to support account development.
• Contribute to bid submissions, tender responses, and proposal development.
• Ensure high-quality delivery aligned with programme, cost, quality, and risk targets.

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction or built environment.
• Experience delivering capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, infrastructure, or estate development.
• Strong client management, commercial awareness, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience managing complex projects within live operational environments.
• Experience with Higher Education clients is preferred.
• Bid writing, tender management, or account management experience is desirable.
