Construction Manager – Data Centres (Nordics)

Overview

In this role you will lead the construction phase of data centre projects, ensuring delivery to client requirements, on time, within budget, and to high safety standards. You will act as the primary site representative, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver mission-critical infrastructure. You will work closely with design and operations teams to optimize constructability and logistics, while managing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

• Lead site construction activities for data centre projects ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality targets and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Develop Site Wide Logistics plan and IMS in collaboration with Scheduler; oversee site operations and logistics
• Coordinate with architects and owners on materials, methods, systems, phasing and cost strategies; provide constructability reviews
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate multidisciplinary construction activities; establish shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and approvals processes
• Monitor progress against schedule and budget, report deviations, and implement mitigation plans; raise early warnings for schedule risks
• Liaise with partner teams for timely delivery of Owner Furnished equipment; ensure procurement and scheduling align with IMS
• Maintain permits and ensure documentation and handover readiness; act as primary liaison with clients, consultants and stakeholders
• Support handover processes with accurate project documentation

Key requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Experience in managing large-scale construction projects
• Familiarity with CDM regulations and environmental compliance
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIOB, PMP) preferred

• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
• Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive risk management and problem solving
• Proficient in project scheduling tools
• Experience with document control systems
• Knowledge of site safety methods and sequencing
