Podcast Content Producer – James O’Brien

Overview

As Podcast Content Producer at Global Studios, you will develop and deliver compelling podcast content across multiple shows, with a focus on news and factual programming. You’ll collaborate with senior production teams and high-profile talent to shape ideas and deliver high-quality audio (and occasional video) content for subscribers. You will manage end-to-end delivery for at least two shows, balancing editorial insight with production craft under deadlines. This role offers the chance to influence audience engagement and subscriber value through innovative, cross-show storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Produce engaging content across the podcast slate, aligned with each show’s tone and audience expectations.
• Collaborate across at least two podcasts with senior producers, video producers, social producers and on-air talent to develop ideas.
• Edit audio to a high standard and support video-led content creation, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Key requirements

• Proven experience producing high-quality audio content, ideally in podcasts, radio or digital media.
• Excellent editorial judgement with ability to identify ideas resonating with podcast audiences.
• Exceptional audio editing skills; video editing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience across audio and visual content with attention to production detail.
• Ability to work flexibly across genres (news, factual, entertainment) and collaborate with stakeholders.
