Senior Consultant, Public Sector (Health) Major Programmes – Human Capital, Technology & Transformation

Overview

In this role you will help design and deliver major healthcare programmes within Deloitte’s Major Programmes practice, shaping governance, delivery and change management for NHS and public sector clients. You will work across disciplines, collaborating with clients and colleagues to enable complex transformations through Programme Aerodynamics. The role offers exposure to digital and physical healthcare initiatives, with opportunities for growth and cross‑functional learning in a global firm.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop major programmes including strategy, setup, delivery governance and commercial aspects
• Lead and support delivery of transformation workstreams with plans, critical paths and interdependencies
• Manage progress reporting, risk and financial controls for projects or programmes
• Shape governance approaches to enable timely decision making and challenge where needed
• Produce high-quality project documents and deliverables aligned with engagement plans
• Collaborate with client resources and Deloitte teams to strengthen delivery capability
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals
• Contribute to propositions, solutions and methods while staying current with insights and technology
• Demonstrate strong presentation, facilitation and communication across stakeholders
• Collaborate within Deloitte teams and model shared values

Key requirements

• Proven experience in project/programme delivery and PMO activities
• Experience in public sector healthcare, especially large-scale digital implementations, hospital infrastructure, national programmes or cost improvement programmes
• Healthcare knowledge and ability to bring lessons learned to clients and Deloitte
• Ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships at all levels
• Strong problem solving, attention to detail, analytical thinking
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams and fast-paced project environments
• Self-motivation and commitment to continuous professional development
• Experience in a consulting or professional services environment or as a client of professional services partners
