Construction Project Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead the construction and delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems, from pre-construction to commissioning. You will work closely with EPCs, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met. Your efforts enable successful handover to operations and strong client and stakeholder relationships. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape large-scale renewable deployment and drive projects to on-time, within-budget completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction and delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects
• Manage all phases of project execution: planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Coordinate activities between EPCs, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and delays
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met
• Conduct site visits and chair progress meetings
• Review/approve contractor methodologies, schedules, risk assessments, and documentation
• Manage reporting: progress updates, risk registers, budget forecasts, milestone tracking
• Oversee contract administration, change management, and claims resolution
• Support commissioning and handover to operations
• Build relationships with clients, authorities, grid operators, and stakeholders

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy construction projects
• Proven experience delivering at least 3 Solar PV and/or BESS projects from construction through commissioning
• Strong understanding of utility-scale solar and energy storage technologies
• Experience managing EPC contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, project controls, scheduling, and risk management
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and practices in construction
• Experience managing budgets, procurement activities, and contract administration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
